Helpers of God's Precious Infants

We pray outside local abortion mills to intercede for the babies and provide direct assistance to the moms. Check the PDL Calendar for this month’s Mass, Procession and Prayer Vigil.

Helpers of God’s Precious Infants was founded in 1989 by Monsignor Reilly in New York. The Helpers ministry has several important roles in our fight to end abortion.

We pray to obtain God’s mercy for the abortionist and staff who do the killing. We pray for the mothers that they will choose life for their babies and for the mothers who choose to kill their babies that they will seek God’s forgiveness and his infinite mercy. Most of all, we pray for the unborn who are scheduled to be killed that day.

The Helpers of God’s Precious Infants sidewalk counselors talk to women to implore them to think about what they are about to do. They will also educate the women on the development of their baby. The counselors will give the women literature letting them know where to get help whether it is financial, medical, or spiritual.

The Helpers of God’s Precious Infants also provides “mom mentors” for women who are in a crisis pregnancy. The mentors call the women and ask how they are, do they need help with anything, and provide resources. The mom mentors want to let the women know that they are not alone, that we love and care for them, and we are here to help them in any way that we can. We also want to help the women grow in their spiritual life.

Prayer Vigil Schedule

Monthly prayer vigils are held the second Saturday of each month, starting with Mass at San Ignacio Church. Check the PDL Online Calendar each month to confirm the date, time and location.

Spiritual Adoption Program

We have begun our spiritual adoption program. Spiritually adopt a baby, today. For the next nine months you are asked to pray daily for your baby and baby’s mother. Name your baby and pray this ten second prayer by the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion”

First month of development

Day 1 Conception – A new and unique human being comes into existence at fertilization, with 46 chromosomes. The new little person’s sex is determined from the beginning.

Day 6 – The baby begins implanting in the womb.

Day 14 – Your baby has developed it’s own blood cells, separate from the mothers.

Day 19 – The eyes begin to development.

Day 20 – The brain foundation, backbone, spinal column, and nervous system have started to form. The liver, kidneys, and intestines have also started to form.

Day 21 – Baby’s heart begins to beat with his own blood.

Day 28 – 40 pairs of muscles are developing along the trunk of the baby. Arms and legs are forming. Baby’s life has been miraculous these first few weeks and is developing at an amazing pace.
