Feast of the Holy Innocents
Our Archbishop has made it an annual tradition to come and celebrate with us our ministry’s special feast day, the Feast of the Holy Innocents. The Holy Innocents are the children of Bethlehem who were killed by King Herod, the first to shed their blood for Christ. Today, they are the special patrons of our pro-life ministry at Project Defending Life and we are grateful to Archbishop Sheehan for coming to the chapel each year to honor them and all the innocent victims of abortion.
Eucharistic Procession and Rosary
Immediately after the Mass, Archbishop Sheehan will lead a eucharistic procession around the abortion mill just 50 feet from the Holy Innocents’ Chapel. While some remain behind in prayer before the blessed sacrament, others will join the Archbishop to carry signs and pray the rosary in front of our local Planned Parenthood killing center. Then we will return to the chapel for eucharistic benediction.
A potluck reception will follow. PDL will provide coffee and soft drinks. Please contact Sally at 266-4100 by Dec. 23rd to let her know what you’re bringing.
If you haven’t yet visited the Holy Innocents’ Chapel, this is a wonderful opportunity to come see our new chapel, offices, and gift shop, and learn more about the work of Project Defending Life.
