The young woman went into the abortion mill and came back out a short while later. Again, she looked at Frances’ sign. Frances turned her sign around to reveal the other side, which said Take My Hand, Not My Life. The young woman looked at the sign, pumped her fist in the air, and said “Yes” before getting in her car and leaving. Though no words were exchanged, Frances’ prayerful presence and a simple sign seem to have been used by God to save this young woman’s child, and to save the young woman herself from the trauma and grief of an abortion. We humbly praise God for the opportunity to serve Him through Project Defending Life’s ministries, and to follow our beloved Pope when he says:
…each according to his or her possibilities, profession and responsibilities, should feel in themselves an obligation to love and serve life, from its beginning to its natural end. It is, in fact, everyone’s duty to welcome human life as a gift to be respected, protected and promoted, even more so when it is fragile and in need of attention and care, either before birth or when it is in its final stages.
– Pope Benedict XVI, February 3, 2008 –
Standing Up for Life
On February 22, the Spring 2012 40 Days for Life campaign begins and we need people to show that we will not lay down our Christian Morals but STAND for LIFE because every life is precious in the eyes of God. Please stand and pray outside the Planned Parenthood on 701 San Mateo during the 40 Days for Life campaign. More information is available at Project Defending Life’s 40 Days for Life Ministry page.
