Baby and Mom Saved

A woman in her late 30s entered Planned Parenthood’s parking lot this week. Phil Leahy counseled her and she drove away. About a half an hour later she returned and went into the building. Thirty minutes later she came out and told Phil that she changed her mind and wasn’t going to have the abortion. Phil asked her what changed her mind. She said: “I saw a young girl crying bitterly and I knew I couldn’t do it.” We don’t know if the young girl decided to keep her baby, but we can hope and pray that she did. (By Sally Govea)

Dinner in Honor of Senator Pete Domenici

Senator Pete Domenici, faithful friend of the unborn in the U.S. Senate, is retiring. Right to Life Committee of New Mexico is sponsoring an appreciation dinner on May 10, 2008 to honor Sen. Domenici. Call right away at 505-881-4563 to reserve your place. The event will be at the Albuquerque Grand Airport Hotel, 2910 Yale Blvd. SE. The dinner will begin at 6:00 PM. The cost is $50.00 per person. (No host bar at 5:00 p.m). Reservations can be made by email: info@rtlnm.org

2000 Hail Marys

PLEASE COME AND JOIN US FOR THE 2000 HAIL MARY’S ON MAY 10TH all day at Holy Innocents Chapel before the Blessed Sacrament. The prayer vigil will begin at 8:30 am and end about 5:00 pm.

Mass Schedule Changes

Father Nordert Choong will celebrate Mass at the Holy Innocents Chapel every Thursday at 12:10 pm in May and June until Father Garcia returns on June 23. Our Masses on Mondays and Tuesdays will continue to be at 12:10 pm.

Pope Benedict Pro-Life Bumper Stickers

Project Defending Life is making these high quality, color bumper stickers available in limited quantities as part of our fund-raiser to acquire a mobile ultrasound system and cover the expenses associated with our move to the new location across the street from Planned Parenthood. Please call our office at 505-266-4100 to place your order. We are suggesting a donation of $3.00 per bumper sticker.

Sidewalk Prayer and Counseling Hours

The most important hours of intercessory prayer outside an abortion mill are during the times they are actually killing unborn babies. These hours are listed below. Come out and pray. Call us at the PDL office, 505-266-4100, if you’d like to join others in prayer during the abortion hours at the place where babies are dying. Planned Parenthood Address: 701 San Mateo Boulevard NE, Albuquerque Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 8:00 to 11:30 am Wednesdays 12:00 to 3:30 pm

Curtis Boyd’s abortion mill Address: 522 Lomas Boulevard NE, Albuquerque Saturday 7:30 to 11:30 am

Project Defending Life Moving

We are pleased to announce that the Project Defending Life Office and chapel are moving to 625 San Mateo NE. The new single story location is less than 50 feet away from Planned Parenthood (south of the abortion center corner of San Mateo and Marquette).

No longer will those who pray in front of the abortion mill have to cross the busy street. No longer will the elderly and ill have to stay away because they can’t climb the stairs. We will be on the ground floor. No longer will people have to park in some distant parking lot.

We will start moving the office furniture and equipment on Saturday, June 21, at 11:00 AM. We will move the chapel furniture on Saturday June 28th. We are looking for volunteers to help us move on these days. If you have a truck, please let us know. We could also use help cleaning the old office on June 30, starting at 9:30. Please call us at the office, 505-266-4100, if you can help.

The Blessed Sacrament will not be in the Chapel from Thursday, June 26 until the 12:10 Mass in the New Chapel on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.

Space For Sub-lease

The new building comprises 2,800 square feet. We have approx. 900 sq. feet of space to sub-lease. It has a storefront window, 2 bathrooms and newly carpeted throughout. Are you a Catholic business interested in opening or expanding into an excellent commercial/retail location? We are looking for a professional or someone to open a coffee shop or some other compatible business. Over 35,000 cars per day crosses our location. We’re asking $1,000/mo. rent. Anyone wishing to lease this space, please call Phil Sevilla at 353-1773 or contact the PDL office at 266-4100. (By Sally Govea)
