Your generosity is producing great fruit! I would like to give you a 4 month report on the work of Project Defending Life especially as it pertains to our helping moms in need. These are your donations at work.
Since the beginning of 2009 (only 4 months)…
- we have had 27 turnarounds (girls whom seemed to have changed their minds) at the abortion mills that we cover here in ABQ. At least 6 of these girls, we have their stories and are currently helping on an ongoing basis.
- we have done more than 2 dozen intakes at our office during these months and have given 20 1st time ultrasounds on moms and another 21 repeat ultrasounds. The repeats are done in our training sessions and our demonstrations such as the one we did at St Pius where over 500 students saw live babies in their moms’ wombs.
- We are currently helping 26 moms through our Gabriel Projects (PDL and our 5 parishes). Many of the moms have become self-sufficient, but our mom’s fund has given over $5000 in assistance to moms in the last 3 months.
- We have had 9 babies born in the last 4 months and 15 babies born since last September! You can see some of the stories and pictures at www.defendinglife.org
- during the 40 Days for Life campaign we had over 2000 people witness and pray at various times in front of Planned Parenthood and Curtis Boyd’s abortion mills. This includes about 400 people who attended our Good Friday Jericho Walk as well as our monthly Helpers Mass and Procession and our weekly Tuesday Mass and Eucharistic Procession around Planned Parenthood.
- We have celebrated approximately 50 Masses in these 3 months either at the Holy Innocents Chapel or our Helpers events as well as over 1000 hours of Eucharistic adoration at the Chapel.
- We helped start a pro-life group at UNM (Students For Life) and assist St Pius in their pro-life group (SOUL) efforts. I am traveling to Chama this week to help them start at pro-life group and we have 5 Gabriel parishes currently functioning.
- We are helping a group in Santa Fe to open a Center for Life there and I am traveling to Las Cruces at the end of this month to help a group start a Center for Life there.
THIS IS ONLY PART OF THE WORK WE HAVE BEEN DOING WITH YOUR HELP. I COULD GO ON AND ON AND ON; TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE RENOVATIONS TO OUR OFFICES AND CHAPEL AS WELL AS THE MULTI-USES WE ARE GETTING FROM OUR FACILITY AT 625 SAN MATEO RIGHT ACROSS FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD.
