The first day of the national prayer campaign got off to a great start in front of the Planned Parenthood abortion center in Albuquerque. Parishioners from St. Bernadette’s came in large numbers to witness to life. Is your parish participating? October 5th LIFE CHAIN will be on San Mateo in front of Planned Parenthood stretching north to Lomas and south to Central Ave on both sides of the street. We will gather to sign in and pick up a sign at 11:30 a.m. at the PDL office, 625 San Mateo NE so we can be out on the sidewalk promptly at 12:00 noon. The chain will end at 1:00 p.m. – plenty of time to get to the Rosary Rally. Bring the whole family.

40 Prayers for 40 Days
Dear Friends,
As we begin the Albuquerque 40 Days Prayer Campaign tomorrow, Wednesday, September 24th, we hope and pray you can join us in front of Planned Parenthood at 701 San Mateo Blvd NE ABQ from 7 am to 7pm daily through November 2nd.
For those who cannot join us on the sidewalk, we invite you and all participants to join us in prayer wherever you are to unite all our supplications and petitions for the end of abortion in our communities. Daily prayers can be accessed or downloaded from the Pray for Life website.

It's Just A Sign
On September 16th, a sidewalk counselor, Frances Gomez, was praying outside of the Planned Parenthood at 619 San Mateo NE in Albuquerque. She held a sign saying, “Abortion, the Ultimate Child Abuse” with a picture of a baby’s face on it. A young woman, perhaps 20 years old, was on her way into the abortion mill when she stopped to look at Frances’ sign. Frances prayed for her and for her unborn child, holding the sign higher as the young woman paused for several seconds still staring.

Please COME to our special kick-off Mass and prayer service at Holy Innocents Chapel, 625 San Mateo Blvd,ABQ, on September 23rd. Mass starts 5:00 p.m. The Holy Innocents chapel will be open 24×7, seven days a week during 40 Days. If you can’t make it to the sidewalk, come spend a holy hour with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

September 15th News Update
A Wonderful Day for God’s Precious Infants
Saturday, Sept. 13 was the second anniversary of the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants Mass and procession. Over 100 people came to intercede for the infants in the wombs that are in danger of being aborted. Everyone spiritually adopted one or more of these endangered babies. For nine months they will light their candle and say a little prayer for the babies they adopted and named. I took two kits which contained the candle tide with a ribbon corresponding with the sex of the baby and was pleasantly surprised to find that one of the kits was for twins, so I had three babies. I named them Jason, Jessica and Joshua. I’m sure everyone was as happy as I was when they opened their kits. And you know what? I believe that God will save all the babies that now have spiritually adopted parents praying for them. If you would like to spiritually adope an unborn infant in danger of being aborted call Yolanda at220-8891.
