40 DAYS FOR LIFE
40 Days for Life is a peaceful, intensive campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting, 40 days of peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and 40 days of grassroots educational outreach. The 40-day time frame is drawn from examples throughout Biblical history where God brought about the world-changing transformation in 40-day periods.
ABORTION CLINIC CLOSED IN LAS CRUCES
Whole Women's Health Clinic in Las Cruces, NM closed officially at the end of December 2016. Mark Cavelier and his dedicated volunteers credit the 40 Days for Life campaigns held in Las Cruces in front of the abortion clinic for the main reason it shut its doors. Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood worker, has said that up to 70% of abortion appointments were cancelled or no-shows when people were praying on the sidewalks the days abortions were done. We know that a 12 hour a day for 40 days of steadfast prayer and fasting can change hearts and close abortion clinics down. Will you join us in ending abortion in Albuquerque?
40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil campaign begins Wednesday, March 6th until April 14th.
We encourage everyone to sign up for vigil hours by following the link below.
If you are interested in being a coordinator for your church, please contact Dominique at for more information.
Your 40 Days for Life Story
Praying moves the hand of God. Your public witness of prayer in front of the abortion clinic allows God to use you to reach those who are entering the clinic. This year, if you have a story to tell about how you saw God change an abortion minded woman or man's heart through 40 Days, please send us your story!
PRAYER VIGIL LOCATION AND SPRING 2018 SCHEDULE
Project Defending Life is hosting the prayer vigil in front of Planned Parenthood beginning March 6th through April 14th 2019.
The vigil is at 701 San Mateo Blvd NE from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, 7 days a week.
As you all know, vigil participants used to be able to sign in, use the restroom, and get water at our previous building. Our new location at 729 San Mateo Blvd may or may not be ready by the time the Spring 2018 campaign begins. Please stay tuned to find out where our sign in will be.
Peacefully pray on the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood on San Mateo. Whether you choose to hold a sign or not, stand or kneel, or pray silently or out loud, please remember that this is a peaceful campaign. We are standing as Christ's ambassadors out there and any behavior that can be viewed as radical or extreme is counterproductive. The success that this campaign has had over the years is proof that peaceful prayer does work.
Our intentions are to be in front of Planned Parenthood and to pray over the building, the employees, and all clients to reconcile their lives to God by taking the first step of accepting and choosing life-affirming options. Holding non-graphic signs, praying the rosary or any other prayer, or going over the daily 40 Days for Life devotionals are all ways we can ask God to close down Planned Parenthood and help those who have participated in abortions.
