2019 in Review and Happy New Year's!

We hope you had a very merry Christmas and all of us here at Project Defending Life would like to wish you a Happy New Year!

We appreciate all of your support in 2019, especially in December. St. Bernadette and Prince of Peace, and St. Alice donated much-needed baby items for our moms in need of diapers, wipes, baby bottles, baby hygiene, and clothes. Our building is overflowing with all of these items!

Additionally, the Knights of Colombus from St. Charles Borromeo gave us a check for $1,950.00  last week that was collected from their baby bottle campaign to benefit Project Defending Life.  Baby Bottle Campaigns go directly towards PDL and our pregnancy medical clinic, Women's Pregnancy Options. At the same time, it allows parishioners to share the pro-life message to their family and friends. If you are interested in hosting a campaign at your school or church, please contact Cyndi at cyndi@defendinglife.org.

2019 has been a year of substantial growth!

We officially became a pregnancy medical clinic in April and can offer obstetric ultrasounds. We now have one nurse on staff and one new nurse being training in February.

We saw 104 more unique clients in 2019 than in 2018, more than doubling the women we've served!

We officially adopted Sidewalk Advocates for Life ABQ in May. Through them, we have 18 saves and 13 turn-aways. Five of those saves, Women's Pregnancy Options, officially helped.

In September, we were awarded a $5,000.00 grant from the Catholic Foundation to purchase materials to implement a Spanish parenting program, a Fatherhood program, and a Healthy Relationships program.

2019 has been a great year and we are excited for 2020!

Make sure to mark your calendars for a few upcoming pro-life events you do not want to miss!

Sanctity of Life Awareness and Unity Day is Wednesday, January 22. This is a great opportunity to hear about what's going on in the pro-life movement here in New Mexico as well as an opportunity to speak to legislators about the pro-life cause.

Students for Life UNM is hosting Destiny Hernon de la Rosa from New Wave Feminists. She brings a pro-life, consistent life message to students. If you are a student (middle, high, and college) or just interested to hear what she has to say, please join SFL UNM, Thursday, Feb. 6th at 6:30 at UNM SUB Ballroom C.

Lastly, we have our 2nd Annual Galentine's Day Benefit Dinner, Thursday, February 13th in the evening, but breakfast will be served. This is a  "ladies celebrating ladies" event and the details are still in the works. And if you are a lady 12 and older, please come and join us to benefit our pregnancy medical clinic, Women's Pregnancy Options. More details to come very soon!

With gratitude,

Dominique Davis
